Created from reclaimed clay, reprocessed ceramics and surplus glazes from Emma Louise Payne’s studio, the Wasted Aperitif Coupe transforms overlooked materials into an object for drinking, gathering and celebration. The collection takes inspiration from the geometry of Brutalist architecture, translating its strong forms and structural rhythm into a tactile ceramic vessel.

Available in short and tall versions, the coupe is designed for different styles of cocktail, from clarified drinks to spritzes and lower-ABV aperitifs. Ground fired clay is worked back into the ceramic body, creating a distinctive terrazzo-like surface that visibly embeds traces of previous making into each new piece. Its strong cylindrical form reflects the monumental geometry of London’s Brutalist architecture, where the repeated forms of concrete found at the Barbican and Southbank Centre are distilled into the shape of a martini glass.

From waste material to cocktail glass, Wasted explores how discarded resources can become the starting point for new rituals of taste and hospitality.
