24 DAYS OF CLAY

The Christmas Ceramic Advent Auction

24 artists. 24 works. 24 days of giving.

This December, Atelier 76 presents 24 Days of Clay, a Christmas ceramic advent auction bringing together 24 contemporary ceramic artists in support of The Charlie Waller Trust.

Throughout December, one unique ceramic work will be revealed each day and offered for auction, celebrating the diversity of contemporary ceramic practice while raising funds for mental health awareness and support.

Take part

Follow along throughout December to discover the participating artists, explore their work and take part in the auction. Every contribution helps support The Charlie Waller Trust and its work towards a future where mental health is understood, conversations are encouraged and people can access the support they need.

The works will be uploaded to our auction parters mid November. Then you can bid on your favorite item. Bid, support and give here: https://bid.indy.auction/24-days-of-clay

Clay, community & giving

Rooted in a shared love of making, 24 Days of Clay brings together a community of artists whose practices span a wide range of approaches, materials and forms. From sculptural objects to functional pieces, each work offers an opportunity to discover a maker, collect something distinctive and support a meaningful cause.

At its heart, the project celebrates the generosity of the creative community: artists donating their work, collectors discovering new practices, and the simple act of giving becoming a way to make a difference.

Twenty-four artists, each contributing a unique ceramic work, come together for this special advent auction. Every piece tells its own story of material, process and making, offering collectors the opportunity to acquire contemporary ceramics while supporting mental health awareness.

A new work will be auctioned each day from 1 to 24 December, building towards Christmas through a daily celebration of ceramic art and the people behind it.

In memory of Adam

For Emma Louise Payne, the project is deeply personal. Created in memory of her brother, Adam, 24 Days of Clay reflects her commitment to championing mental health awareness and encouraging more open conversations around mental health.

The auction supports The Charlie Waller Trust, a charity dedicated to improving mental health through education, prevention and early intervention. By bringing together artists, collectors and supporters, the project aims to contribute to this vital work while creating space for a conversation that touches so many lives.

24 Days of Clay is a celebration of creativity, generosity and remembrance, bringing people together through ceramics for a cause that matters.
